*Sigh*
I hope someday to see a Ruf in person.
Oh, did you come here expecting a Civic Type R?
TOO BAD. The Civic Type R can't be called the CTR. Only the RUF CTR can be called the CTR. Fuck outta here.

There must be a reason I've never heard a Civic Type R referred to as a "CTR".

This is blasphemy, you swine.
Thou shalt not reduce the glorious Yellowbird to a mere acronym.

It's somewhat silly to call "Yellowbird" to a car that isn't yellow. And not all CTRs are yellow.

Who are you heathen, daring to type the word Ruf in ALL CAPS? It is not an acronym. Did you expect it to be? TOO BAD. Fuck outta here.

Either my screen or your screen is broken since the car in that pic looks pretty damn yellow to me.
Plus if you Google Yellowbird that picture comes up, with it being at the Nurburgring and all.

Except that's not a CTR. The CTR's were wide body and the Yellowbird (pictured) is a narrow body. The Yellowbird can also be identified by the lack of drip rails along the tops of the windows.

I dare you to call this the Yellowbird.

Was that one at the Nurburgring like the one in the picture and resprayed red afterwards? If No then it is not Yellowbird unlike the one in the picture which is literally the car known as Yellowbird.

The best color for these isn't yellow, it's blue! CTR Bluebird!

No. It came out of the factory like that, and yes it is a CTR. Only difference between that and the car that raced at Das 'Ring is the colour.

Maybe, but not that blue.

This indeed is a CTR, perhaps an info refresh on Ruf is in order. It just simply had the nickname, "Yellowbird"
Car and Driver addresses the car as "1987 Ruf CTR 'Yellowbird' 911 Turbo" and Wikipedia notes the car as Ruf CTR. There are widebody cars from Ruf but they are not all widebody...have you seen their entire line up, past and present? There are normal non-widebody cars that are CTRs as well.

Sorry, I have this problem with Ruf all the time.

Hm. Then I wonder what the hell "CTR" is there for in the engine bay.
Or on the back of the car. I guess this is just some poser.

Keep in mind: Alois Ruf. People's names are never acronyms.

I hate Currency Transaction Reports. They're a pain in the ass.
